DavidRamsdenBigDavid learned his trade at Le Caprice in London. He returned to Scotland and ran Fitzhenry's and his own Rogue, both Michelin starred on his watch. He currently runs and owns The Dogs Restaurant. When it comes to eating out I don't do "bottom of the market". I would say that for top eating right now it has got to be The Kitchin, Tom Kitchin's restaurant. Tom has managed to grasp the zeitgeist in every way: his place has good atmosphere, the right amount of contemporary art, and his food is really good. Fresh Scottish produce handled superbly!

If you want to find some wild foods, Blackford Hill is a great place to pick up berries and wild garlic. And for buying fresh Scottish produce the only spot to go to is the Farmer's Market on a Saturday. That stuff should really be supported and it is a great place to meet other people and chat to the producers....
