I came to Glasgow as a student, not knowing yet it would become my home. I feel like a local but it's great to have the added benefit of viewing the city with outsider's eyes. I used to work for the Glasgow Tourist Board and always took people to see slices of the real Glasgow rather than just sticking to the main attractions. The idea to set up a brewery came to me in 1994, when my dad was visiting from Bavaria and wanted to try the local beer.
